LETTER TO GOVERNOR BARBOUR

A friend of mine here on Facebook recently forwarded a beautiful letter that she wrote to Governor Barbour suggesting that I should be recognized as an official Ambassador for the State of Mississippi. I am truly humbled and deeply touched.
Just wanted to share the letter with my Celebrate the South family!
Dear Governor Barbour,
Enclosed you will find a wonderful little volume of poetry by Patricia Neely-Dorsey. Although small in size, this book is very large in it's expression of the south and particularly Mississippi.
Ms. Dorsey's book, Reflections of a Mississippi Magnolia is an important work in many ways. First, she dispels all the stereotypes that have unfortunately defined the southern region in the eyes of our nation. Secondly, the poems cross gender, race and age. In a recent review I made the comparison between Ms. Dorsey and myself as “a tall regal black woman and a short dumpy white woman” standing together and seeing the same things. The poetry contained in “Reflections” indeed reflects the common bond we all have as Mississippians and as southerners.
Most importantly, this marvelous volume could be, and in my opinion should be used as a teaching tool included in the curriculum for the schools of this state. Children would learn to appreciate their heritage to it's fullest. Not only would there be more of an awareness and conception of the lives of their recent ancestry, but an idea as to what we remember as a less complex way of life. They would attain “new eyes” in order to grasp, have gratitude and pride in their southern culture.
Patricia Neely-Dorsey has forged through the unfounded supposition and opinion of how the rest of the country perceives the state of Mississippi. She is a true ambassador of her heritage. It is my most sincere wish that you will consider Patricia Neely-Dorsey as an Ambassador for the State of Mississippi. I honestly don't feel anyone could possibly surpass the understanding and the passion she has for this great state!

The common prostate health issues are prostate infection, enlarged prostate and prostate cancer.
Prostate infection, often known as prostatitis, is the most common prostate-related symptom in men younger than 55 yrs . old. Infections from the prostate are classified into four types - acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, chronic abacterial prostatitis and prosttodynia.
Acute bacterial prostatitis could be the least common of all kinds of prostate infection. It is brought on by bacteria perfectly located at the large intestines or urinary tract. Patients can experience fever, chills, body aches, back pains and urination problems. This condition is treated by utilizing antibiotics or non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to ease the swelling.
Chronic bacterial prostatitis is a condition associated with a particular defect in the gland as well as the persistence presence of bacteria within the urinary tract. It can be caused by trauma towards the urinary tract or by infections via other regions from the body. A patient may experience testicular pain, lower back pains and urination problems. Although it is uncommon, it may be treated by removal in the prostate defect followed by the use antibiotics and NSAIDs to deal with the inflammation.
Non-bacterial prostatitis is the reason for approximately 90% coming from all prostatitis cases; however, researchers have not to determine what causes these conditions. Some researchers believe chronic non-bacterial prostatitis occur as a result of unknown infectious agents while other feel that intensive exercise and heavy lifting can cause these infections.
Maintaining a Healthy Prostate
To prevent prostate diseases, a suitable meals are important. These are some from the actions you can take to maintain your prostate healthy.
1. Drink sufficient water. Proper hydration is critical for health and wellness and will also also keep your urinary track clean.
2. Some studies claim that a number of ejaculations each week will help to prevent prostate cancer.
3. Eat beef in moderation. It has been shown that consuming greater than four meals of beef every week will increase the likelihood of prostate diseases and cancer.
4. Maintain an appropriate diet with cereals, vegetable and fruits to be sure sufficient intake of nutrients needed for prostate health.
The most significant measure to look at to ensure a proper prostate is always to choose regular prostate health screening. If you are forty years and above, you need to select prostate examination at least one time per year.
